Our Wines

California

2006 Saddleback Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

Wonderful, heady aromas of ripe black cherries, peppery spice rack, and cigar box are emitted from this wine’s fragrant bouquet.  This full-bodied wine has opulent, jammy black fruit flavors layered over silky and supple tannins with an amazingly smooth lingering finish.  A perfect accompaniment with grilled steak or short ribs.

2008 Whitcraft Winery Pinot Noir Aubaine Vineyard

Small production Pinot Noir that delivers. Plenty of power, finesse and delicious fruit in ths wine. Patience will be rewarded to those who can resist the urge to drink it all now and cellar it for a few years. A favorite wine of mine personally.

2009 Inception Chardonnay Santa Barbara County

The long warm days and cool nights of Santa Barbara County create the ideal conditions for growing grapes with character and distinction. The cooling maritime influence further adds complexity and balance to the wines. The grapes for this wine were sourced from 3 very special and unique vineyards- Los Alamos, Santa Rita Hills (Huber), and Santa Maria Valley(Bien Nacido Vineyard). Handcrafted using classical Burgundian winemaking techniques our chardonnay truly exemplifies old world balance and acidity with new world charm.

The nose is an intoxicating mix of tropical and stone fruits with a hint of acacia blossoms. Flavors of Bartlett Pear, Granny Smith apple, white peach, and mandarin blossom envelope your palate. A creamy texture framed by zesty acidity and a minerality of wet stones makes this chardonnay rich yet delicate.  This is a refreshing medium bodied style of California chardonnay which is deep, seamless and classic.

2010 Palermo by Orin Swift Cabernet Sauvignon

Aromas of dark, brooding fruit with subtle French oak in the background lead into a smooth entry of ripe cherry and fig. The mid-palate is subtle and stretches with loads of bright acidity and candied cassis. Layers of stone fruit and ribena lead into a round, supple, lingering finish of integrated soft tannins that roll on and on. This wine is amazing now and has another 8 to 10 years in it at least!

2007 Cigliuti Briccoserra Langhe Rosso

This is Cigliuti's 'modern' wine. Nebbiolo (the Barolo / Barbaresco grape) blended with the fresh and assertive Barbera, all aged in French oak (when the traditional wines of the region are aged in large Slovenian barrels that have little immediate impact on the wine). The result is powerful and rich, with silky sweetness from the oak, but no lack of classically Italian 'backbone' and assertiveness.
